Nostalgia for the old star wars days

Once upon a long time ago a few of us partook in a game called Jedi Knight Academy, It is where RGD was birthed and where Poetically Cryptic was forged when the great Titan disbanded. We moved into Guild Wars and since the release of sw:tor have returned to our star wars Roots, here is what star wars looked like for many years for some of us.

Pcryptic would like to announce are intention to launch a Jedi Knight Academy Division on a temporary basis, we are reviving the old RGD tags and and would like to invite any ex-member who is not currently in a guild/clan to once again don the tags and join in the madness.

Recruitment - And The Server Population Problem?

We have all noticed the sharp decline in people on the swtor servers, upon launch Bio-Ware made to many servers to fast and now we are all sitting on low population servers twiddling our thumbs hoping someone will stop and help us along if our guild mates are busy in real life or hoping into other games.

We are very much floating in limbo awaiting the appointed hour when server transfers become available many have said to little to late, a more relaxed view is waiting means they wont screw it up but this is Bioware's first MMO so allowances for some bumps in the road to a great SWTOR must be given right now the community must come together and make it very clear we are here to support out bioware developers and whack em with a stick in the right direction when needed, all in all Patience is needed and perhaps a little bit of tea and cookies round the swtor campfire.

And now in the interest of bolstering our spirits!

The one thing I always found myself looking for when playing my first mmo which was World Of Warcraft was an up to date guide for the specific class i was playing at the time, be it for PVE or PVP I wanted to understand class mechanics and builds and No site seemed to put it into laymen terms for me.

That changed upon the introduction of Noxxic a site dedicated to explaining class roles mechanics and builds they have now branched out into SWTOR which is good news as I for one need that extra help.

We have finally met one of our goals and downed hammer station, we enjoyed the run and plan for some gear runs for our lower level members soon.

Recruitment remains open for all classes and play styles,
We are currently working our way through content at our own pace, highest level in the guild at present is 29-30 range.

Soon we shall be saying our heat felt goodbyes to the lovely vacation spot on Taris, filled with wondrous sights of toxic wasteland and flesh eating wildlife we shall truly miss this planet.

Our next port of call is the Smugglers moon, and haven for all crime lords in the galaxy Nar Shaddaa, some fun to be had on this rock in space!

Tonight saw us once again take on the evil depths of FrostMaw, and taking it down in style. In addition to our own guild wars fanatics we were accompanied by our lovely ally Twilite Sunrider, all in all fun was had by all present and I am very pleased by the outcome and grateful to all whom attended the event.

Guild Wars

This weekends frostmaw run, came with a few bumps in the road in the forms of Internet problems. Two of the eight participants were unable to complete with the rest of the group, the six remaining completed the dungeon 30 minutes later. The entire run was healed solo by our very own Kasey, many many Kudo's to you on a job well done Kasey.

This dedication and hard work has earned Kasey the rank of Guild Wars Executive Officer Congratulations Kasey on this Promotion!

Welcome to the weekly Gamer Bites update with your Gunslinger / Tanking Ranger Community Leader.

Coruscant has been nominated the official SWTOR group meeting point being the second planet we all visit and the first planet all four classes meet up together this choice seemed logical. We also have plans to take on the world boss in the coming weeks it will be added among my future updates.

On a happier note our very own Nafthali reached new notoriety within our group for earning his ship at only level 12 Congratulations to him on this great accomplishment.

We have added Advanced Class guides to our Jedi Temple Forum, and will be working on our Trooper and Smuggler guides which will be posted in the coming weeks.

I would also like to Congratulate Tiva Rae on her completion of Guild Wars The Eye Of The North and on her Promotion to Officer we aim to run many hard-mode dungeons in the coming weeks I suspect fun on the horizon in the form of major wipes and laughs.

I will keep you all posted each week as more events unfold within our community

Requirements

:- Applicants must be aged 13 or over, It is very rare we will recruit someone under the age of 13 although if the right person comes along an exception maybe made.

:- A working microphone as standard and being willing to use it.

:- Applicants must be willing to work as part of a team.

The Recruitment process

Phase 1
Application sent to our website, if accepted you will be asked to join us on mumble for a small group chat / interview.

Phase 2

Trial period - For 1-2 weeks you will be placed in the initiate rank, make a good impression take part in events and get to know the member base and you will be granted full membership.

News from the Bioware Front

Early Game Access* for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ is only a few days away! Starting December 13, 2011, The Old Republic will begin emailing invitations to start your Early Game Access. Invitations will be sent throughout the Early Game Access period offering rolling access to the game in the order in which you redeemed your Pre-Order Code, so be sure to check your email inbox!

To ensure that players can get into the game as quickly as possible when their Early Game Access begins, we are now allowing everyone who has redeemed a Pre-Order Code at our Code Redemption Center to pre-load the game to their computer.

In order to download the game client before Early Game Access begins, you need have already logged into your account and redeemed your Pre-Order Code. Once you have done this, you can download the game client by clicking on "My Account” in the upper-right of the window and then click "Pre-Order.” On your Pre-Order page, click the large button that says "Download Game Client” to begin download of the game!

So insted of being staggered across 5 days they have up'd it to 7days, You can now also pre-load the game client so once early access starts you can jump right into the galaxy.
